Hello Ange, A busy week for sure. I'm still recovering from last night's visit to the pub with my love. We had a grand time, but it does cut into the required hours of sleep, haha. Otherwise it's just been daily chores, spending time with my family, and my love of course who's home for another whole week before he needs to get back to work.

Hey Newbie, Welcome to our little group. Just join in and have at it. No reason to be shy when everyone around here are just friendly folk who're likely to just want to make you feel right at home. Tell us all something about yourself, your pet, the reason why you've joined Man's Best Friend Forever... and just about anything you want to share. There are no rules, no mistakes, only happy accidents. LOL
Samaya.

Hello, Sam. I can comment here too, haha. However sad the story, I do love the way you described your experience with Knight. Very special, when the time comes I just might do the same for my Artie. Tis only fair that he has a choice in the entire thing.
How's big knight doing? In your message you said he was still tearing at your mattress in the mornings. Is he still doing that? Oh Gods, seeing that picture of him I can imagine him being strong enough to pull it off, haha. He's gorgeous, though. Have you taught him not to jump up against you yet? T sounded a wee painful when you wrote that it felt as if he'd cracked a rib or two. I would imagine that a big one like him could do quite a bit of damage, so you might have to consider doing some obedience training with him, haha.

That's great, Ange. Cockers are so amazing... if my two are an indication. Mom and little sis are addicted to them, actually. LOL. Monday? Oh man, I don't think I could wait that long. LMAO.

Hi Addie,
There are a multitude of reasons why people can choose to combine their pets. On the most part I prefer doing this particular transfer with an older identity being added to a young unformed one, but if the owner has health problems that make having multiple dogs a problem, or financial difficulties or anything along those lines at the time of the animal's passing, I can place the identity of the the said dog into the other dog that is still with the family, either permanently or until times have changed in such a way that a "new" dog can be found. By doing this at least the owner is assured of keeping the beloved identity near no matter what the circumstances.
Yes, some new character traits always occur after a transfer, it is inevitable. I am very pleased to hear that you are so happy with you Jones, though.
Best wishes to you and yours. Patricia
